Jean-Luc Pouteau is a native French Sommelier from Brittany (North-west of France) holder of the World's Best Sommelier Award. After working as a Chef and then as a Pastry Chef in restaurants in the city of Brest, he decided to devote himself to Wine. He worked hard to achieve a high level of knowledge and participated to contests of Sommelier. In 1976, he won the wine contest of Best Sommelier of France, and in 1983 he won the World's Best Sommelier award! From 1984 to 1987, he was the Sommelier at the gourmet restaurant "Pavillon Elysee" in Paris and responsible forpurchasing wine for the famous Parisian caterer "Lenotre". Today Jean-Luc Pouteau is traveling around France’s vineyards to make exceptional wines at affordable prices.
